TransGas is notifying shippers of potential curtailments to firm contracted NIT to TEP and Empress to TEP Services due to upcoming outages on interconnecting pipelines. TransGas is working closely with the associated pipelines regarding timing and volumes impacted. During these periods, TransGas will attempt to coordinate system outages to avoid future outages and curtailments.
Potential Curtailment:
Gas Days March 13 – 29 and April 25 – May 3, 2023 (TC Energy Curtailments)
TC Energy will be performing a series of maintenance-related outages within the NGTL system. Based on current analysis and risks, Firm NIT to TEP and Empress to TEP Services may be curtailed to a percent of the firm contracted capacity, based on the severity of TC Energy restrictions. At this time, TransGas is anticipating partial NIT to TEP and Empress to TEP restrictions to as low as 90% of Firm Allowable during the highest risk period from March 13 to 15. Note this curtailment estimate is subject to change.
In addition, during these periods: Export capability will be limited; NTT and Empress to TEP Interruptible service will be restricted; and Fuel Gas nominations are expected to be required within Firm contracts.
TransGas will endeavour to minimize impacts from the TC Energy maintenance work where feasible. Updates will be provided closer to the scheduled dates. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the implications of these potential curtailments, please contact your Key Account Manager:
