Energy accounts held by all transportation customers make up the TransGas Energy Pool (TEP) in Saskatchewan.
For customers interested in Alberta supply services, TransGas offers two types of firm service: Nova Inventory Transfer (NIT) to TEP and Empress to TEP receipt service. TransGas also offers interruptible receipt service at NIT, Empress and McNeill, when available.
NIT to TEP (NTT) service is for moving gas from receipt points at NIT in Alberta to TEP in Saskatchewan. TransGas manages the flow of gas from Alberta through various border points (Cold Lake, Unity, McNeill and Empress). This optimizes system operations and minimizes transportation costs.
Empress to TEP service is for moving gas from receipt point at Empress to TEP by way of the TC Energy mainline.

Rates
TransGas NIT to TEP customers pay standard receipt transportation rates as well. They are also subject to an Additional Cost Recovery (ACR) charge for the transportation of gas to the Saskatchewan border. This charge recovers the net transportation costs on the Nova Gas Transmission (NGTL) system, less any liquid credits. The applicable ACR rate changes quarterly based on contract term length.
TransGas Empress to TEP customers pay standard receipt transportation rates.
Both NIT to TEP and Empress to TEP services are subject to fuel gas rates, which change on a monthly basis, as per the TransGas Tariff.
